We are thrilled that the Host of Food Network's Cake Wars and Sweet Genius, Ron Ben-Israel will act as head judge for this year's Let Them Eat Cake event Monday March 28th at the Loews Hotel in Philadelphia.  The City of Hope's premier fantasy wedding cake competition brings together the best bakers in the tri-state area.  This year's theme of ANIMATION is sure to stir the pastry chefs imaginations.  Judging is based on design, theme and of course taste.    

Ben-Israel owns one of the most established couture cake studios in the world.  He was discovered by Martha Stewart after she spotted one of his confectionary creations in the window of Mikimoto on 5th Avenue.  Ben-Israel's trend setting cakes have been featured in the NY Times, In Style and Vogue Magazines.  He has been seen on the Oprah Winfrey show, Bravos Just Desserts, the Late Show with David Letterman and HBO's Everyday People.
